Following in steps of DaCor [http://www.openstreetmap.org/user/DaCor/diary], as up until then hadn't heard of MapCraft yet, I thought I would do the same for Vancouver Island starting in the South region and working my way North (Ambitious I know!). Will be tracing buildings in the CRD region South of Fort Street & East of Foul Bay Road. If you could add the following when commenting your changesets, It will allow us to track the changes for this project. (remove the quotes) "http://mapcraft.nanodesu.ru/pie/240" The intent is to later add civic addressing (civic, name, type, postal, city, region, country, etc) to hopefully encourage routing. Spices are mainly done by roads and I tried to cut heavy areas in half. I'll be adding onto the spliced osm file down the road, if you would like a copy just let me know!

Where?
Over the weekend of Sat 29th & Sun 30th Mar I am planning on completing over 24 hours (7-7 each day) of surveying to gather address data in Galway City, specifically the west side of the city.
Why?
To facilitate this, building outlines need to be added to provide more accurate surveying and recording of address data.
How?
Please take a cake slice and draw an outline of every building that would likely have an address tied to it within that slice. This excludes the likes of household garages, sheds etc so no need to draw those (but you can if you so wish). Additional detail is at your discretion, but buildings are the focus.

JOSM Users - Use the building_tools plugin / Ortogonalize / extrude tools to ensure an accurate & tidy outline.

And finally.... please add "Mapcraft 223 - Galway Buildings" to your changeset titles to allow for tracking to be added to progress animations later.

No offset needed, you can trust the imagery alignment from Bing
